Closets for Your Surf Gear
Who would associate the image of a walk-in wardrobe closet with the personality of a surfer dude? A huge closet more aptly conjures a picture of a vain teenage girl, who perhaps dreams of being the high school cheerleader or prom queen. However, these are merely stereotypes. Those who are serious about surfing really do need extra space in which to store their surfing clothes and accessories, not to mention various gears.

A surfer's closet
If you wish to expand your cabinet or create a whole new walk-in closet, then you need to look through various magazines and websites for ideas. You will need to take note of different organising styles. You may want to create racks, drawers and open compartments, along with other containers. You will definitely need to consider lighting, too, as this will help you to easily find the items that you are looking for.
If you love to surf often or occasionally, it would be a great idea to place your regular, everyday clothes on one side and your surfing outfits and gear on another. You can have compartments for small but expensive items like shades. Have different spaces for board shorts, surf shirts, rash guards and wetsuits. Also have a place for surf wax, sunscreen and leashes, as well as accessories. Hang your flip-flops on shoe racks. Most of all, have a dry, non-moist storage place for your surfboard. If you do not want to store it in your wardrobe closet, you can create a storage space at your backyard.
