Surfing Tournament
Surfing tournament generally take place in beach locations where the waves are relatively bigger. Usually, such event is not limited to the conventional form of surfing; there are several other events added to attract more athletes even from other parts of the world.
Some of the popular tournament venues worldwide are California, Hawaii and Australia. There are also famous surfing spots in the UK, which are suitable for expert surfers, like in Cornwall.
The criteria for judging vary from one category to another, but the most common areas considered are manoeuvring, speed, flow, and completion of rounds. For a surfer to garner higher points, the panel of judges usually decide over the quality of movement and execution, ability to assess a wave, and the mastery at surviving critical areas of the wave.
To a lot of people, what makes surfing competition even more interesting is the combination of breathtaking action and gigantic waves.
